The Idea
The Spotlight Series for Volvo Cars Heritage is a series celebrating Volvo Cars’ history. Where past meets present, built on the promise of putting safety first. For season two, we focused on three iconic models. The PV444, the 850, and the 164. Each one comes from a different era, but they share the same foundation. Design, durability, and safety thinking that shaped Volvo Cars over decades. We built the films around Hans’ voice-over. Calm, direct, and personal. His narration sets the pace and gives the series its tone. Visually, we mixed three worlds. Driving footage of the cars in motion. Studio imagery with clean, controlled lighting. And archive material that connects each model to its time. The goal was to make the past feel present.
